Dancing in the rain

Pile It On has another challenge for you, so come over and join us.

This week, we are sponsored by Sami Stamps.

Thank you so much for sponsoring this challenge, Sami Stamps!

(Sami Stamps also has a challenge blog and you can find that here. :))

This week would like you to follow the theme 'April Showers bring May Flowers'.

I love this sweet image from Sami Stamps. Of course, I had to color my umbrella in a rainbow. :) I used my Prismacolor pencils. I used my circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities dies. I used a scrap of designer paper from an old Simon Says Stamp kit as a border and cut my circle a bit to add interest.

Thanks for looking! I hop this finds you happy and healthy.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simple Tree Card

It's time for another challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations!!
I hope you'll come over and join us.

We are sponsored this week by The Stamping Boutique!

The Stamping Boutique is generously providing a prize of TWO digital images (THREE if the winner uses a 'The Stamping Boutique' image) to our randomly chosen winner.

Thanks so much for sponsoring our challenge, Stamping Boutique!

Each challenge, we give you an inspiration cupcake and you make a card or other craft project that is inspired by the cupcake.

Here is this week's cupcake.

This is just a very simple card. I love this color combo and I wanted to let that be the shining feature of the card. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and used my oval Nestabilities.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

You are loved.

Come on over and join us. :)

This week we are being sponsored by Digital Delights. Thanks so much!

I love this card. :) I used an old Simon Says Stamp kit from February for the stamps (Paper Hug) and rub-ons (American Crafts's Kiss Kiss). I used the Memento Ink Dew Drops in a rainbow of colors to achieve my background.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Hello beautiful.

It's time for another challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations!!
I hope you'll come over and join us.

We are sponsored this week by Freckled Fawn!

Doe and Deer (AesaLina and Richard Compton) founded Freckled Fawn in February 2012. A little dream became a reality with a lot of prayer, hard work, and one very handy Deer. The company started out as a small online craft boutique and they now specialize in the design and crafting of scrapbook embellishments.

Freckled Fawn is generously providing a prize to our randomly chosen winner.

Thanks so much for sponsoring our challenge, Freckled Fawn!

Each challenge, we give you an inspiration cupcake and you make a card or other craft project that is inspired by the cupcake.

Here is this week's cupcake.

I started with a Neenah Solar White card stock base. I die cut the 'hello's out of the same paper. The die cut came with a matching stamp set from Hero Arts called Hello. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the last hello and beautiful. I used the same on the inside as well. I added the Freckled Fawn arrow paper clips to the edge so that my girlfriend can easily take them off and use them for other projects.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Thank you so much for sponsoring this challenge, Kenny K!

(Kenny K also has a challenge blog and you can check that out here. :))

This week would like you to use DIECUTS and/or PUNCHES.

I love using the spotlight technique to showcase a part of my image. The image is KennyK's Skate Chick and colored her up with Prismacolor pencils.

The pendant is from a Hero Arts set called Flag from their Stamp&Cut collection. I stamped the letters out in Versafine Black Onyx ink. The rhinestones are from the Michaels Dollar Spot in October.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Our Father...

Pile It On has another challenge for you, so come over and join us.

This week, we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear.

Thank you so much for sponsoring this challenge, Stitchy Bear!

This week would like you to use a SENTIMENT AS A FOCAL POINT.

We had a pretty rough Spring Break. It started with the sudden death of a family friend and ended with his memorial. It's hard to bounce back from that even with it being vacation.

Anyhoo, I made this card for the widow and dear friend. They are devote Catholics so I my hope is that this is a reminder of a better place and time that now their husband and father wait for us.

I used Stitchy Bear's 'Our Father' digi stamp for my sentiment and focal point. I colored it up with my Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks for looking! I hop this finds you happy and healthy.

For the Teacher

Come on over and join us. :)

This week we are being sponsored by Di's Digis. Thanks so much!

I actually made these for the girls' teachers for Valentine's Day and just haven't gotten them up on the blog yet. Aren't they so cute?!?! I had to go less mushy as my oldest has a male teacher.

Anyhoo, I made one a blond and one a brunette after my daughters. This is an image from Melonheadz Friends. They have so many cute images available, for all kinds of different events and occasions. I colored them up with my Prismacolor pencils and matted them on Stampin' Up's Sahara Sand card stock. Used another, bigger, mat of black and a white card base.

I colored the polka dots in with my white gel pen but in this picture it looks like I forgot to do my blond's dots. Oops. Oh, well. I guess if it was perfect no one would believe I made it. :)

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

A Happy Dragon Birthday to You!

It's time for another challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations!!
I hope you'll come over and join us.

We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo!

Bugaboo is generously providing a prize to our randomly chosen winner.

Thanks so much for sponsoring our challenge, Bugaboo!

Each challenge, we give you an inspiration cupcake and you make a card or other craft project that is inspired by the cupcake.

Here is this week's cupcake.

I love Bugaboo digs, they are so much fun!! I colored this one up with my Prismacolor pencils and used Gold Stickles as an accent. I used my oval Nestabilities dies to pencil around him so that I would have elements 'popping' out. I used the same die to cut my black mat.

The green letters are from the Memory Box Parker Lower Alphabet set die cut from some scrap paper (but I'm pretty sure it's Wild Wasabi from Stampin' Up). The 'birthday' is from a Sweet Stamp Shop set that is retired and is stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink.

This is for a little friend who is celebrating his 6th birthday this weekend. (I hope it's not too glittery for a boy.)

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant Challenge #290 - Pinch Me (Use Green)
Craft - Alnica #130 - Wings

Celebrating early!!

Back a few months ago, when Jenn was counting up the challenges to get sponsors and information lined up, she had a very foggy post-pregnancy brain. She counted up what she thought would have been the 100th post and it landed on today. She, along with Trish-who was also recovering from a post-pregnancy brain, planned a big online party for the challenge blog. However, it was noticed that it is not quite the 100th post, but the 97th post. But, hey!!! We like to do things different around here and we're going to celebrate anyways!

Each DT member has graciously offered up some blog candy in celebration of our big milestone and if you follow along the blog hop and the instructions you may earn some extra goodies this week. There will be a prize offered here like normal and an extra random prize for a commenter under this blog. WOW! Lots of fun stuff.

We want to thank all of you for being a huge part of this blog and for showing your support weekly. Our awesome DT members are busy, but they are faithful in sharing their creations with all you card crafters. We love that you stop by and share yours, as well!!

So, without further ado...

HAPPY 97th BLOG POST!!!

I created this card for my daughter, who turned SIX years old yesterday!! I can't believe how fast she's growing. :)

I used Saturated Canary's Ava as my main image. (You can see her as a blond HERE.) I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils and used my Nestabilities Circle dies to cut her out and give her a mat. The paper I am using is left over from an old Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card kit. My card base is Neenah Desert Storm.

I didn't put anything on the inside because my oldest and youngest wanted to do the decorating. :)

Happy Birthday, P! We love you.

I will put together a little goodie package for a lucky participant of our blog hop! Good luck and thank you so much for your support. :)

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Celebration Penguin parties.

This is an envelope I made for our color challenge over on our 300th celebration challenge, going on now.

I used the die set from Stampin' Up to cut out my envelope, which fits a gift card perfectly. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and assembled it. I colored up Celebration Penguin from 2 Cute Ink with Prismacolor pencils and cut him out with my Nestabilities circle dies. I used the sentiment, stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink, from the Your Next Stamp set called Silly Monsters.

These days, I only seem to give gift cards so this will come in handy for the next birthday, boy or girl!

You can join in the fun by clicking on the cupcake to be taken straight to the challenge. Hurry, time's running out.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.
